Access Behavioral Health Services offers a full range of mental health and developmental services for people of all ages. ABHS is equipped to assist both individuals and families with any number of needs.
Our qualified medical and mental health professionals are experienced in medication management for adults, adolescents and children. They can evaluate, prescribe and monitor psychiatric medication for individuals who need these services
Access Behavioral Health Services offers both talk therapy and play therapy for children, and our licensed experienced professionals are trained at treating a variety of mood disorders and emotional disturbances for individuals of all ages. We are able to provide therapy for individuals, couples and families.
Children's service coordination is designed to help families of children with developmental disabilities or severe emotional disturbance coordinate the services they need. Case management services are also available for adults who qualify.
We offer both home based services and community based services for individuals living with developmental disabilities and persistent mental illness.
Developmental therapy is available for children and adults in a home and community setting. Our Nampa location also offers adult day services in a center setting.
Our psychosocial rehabilitation program is a one-on-one community based program for adults with severe persistent mental illness or children with severe emotional disturbance to enhance life skills needed to reduce the impact that mental illness symptoms have on their lives.


At Access we view an individual's treatment as part of a whole when there is family involved. We believe that in order to treat and heal an individual you must treat and heal the family. Our services are individually based while keeping the family unit as a primary focus. In each program, family participation is desired, and at times required for individuals to make optimal progress towards their goal.
Access offers a comprehensive range of services for children's mental health. Our licensed therapists provide talk therapy for children and their families. We treat children and adolescents experiencing emotional difficulties. Our professionals have experience with a wide variety of diagnoses such as adjustment difficulties, ADHD and PTSD. Our physicians and nurse practitioners are available to evaluate, monitor and prescribe psychiatric medication for children and adolescents.
Psychosocial rehabilitation services are offered for chilren deemed appropriate for the service through our assessment process. Children with severe emotional disturbances work one-on-one with a PSR worker both in their homes and in the community to enhance skills needed to reduce the impact that the symptoms of mental illness have on their lives.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) is a home and community based program for adults and children in which participants learn specific skills that foster rehabilitation and recovery. Participants work one-on-one with a PSR worker to enhance skills needed to reduce the impact that the symptoms of mental illness have on their lives. Services are offered for both adults and children who are deemed appropriate for services through our assessment process. A plan is developed for PSR during the assessment to enchance independence and successful community living. PSR assists qualified participants in achieving their own goals and outcomes using a variety of techniques designed to obtain the best results for the participant.
We provide home and community based developmental therapy to children ages 3 to 17 and adults. Our developmental therapy program offers those living with developmental disabilities the opportunity to gain skills in their home and community. We offer qualified and knowledgeable staff who guide treatment, while allowing optimal independence.

Access offers case management to adults with severe persistent mental illness. Accessing basic resources such as food, housing, education, additional care services and financial support may present challenges to people with psychiatric disabilities. Case managers not only partner with service recipients to get their basic needs met but they support recipients efforts to achieve their full potential by linking them to a variety of resources within the community.
Licensed and trained medical physicians and nurse practitioners are available to evaluate, monitor and prescribe psychiatric medications for individuals who need these services. We are one of the few clinics that do not require and individual to have other services at our clinic to have medication management.
Our licensed therapists provide weekly talk therapy for adults, children, couples and families. We treat individuals experiencing many mental health issues, including depression, relationship difficulties, anxiety, panic attacks, grief, mood and thought disorders and psychosis. We offer talk therapy and play therapy for children going through adjustment difficulties, emotional disturbances and children with ADHD, among others.
Service coordinators help participants and their families navigate the sometimes overwhelming process of locating, applying for, and coordinating resources. Our service coordinators work closely with the family, schools, and community, advocating for goods and services for qualifying children, infants and toddlers. Service coordination helps to ensure that participants receive the best possible services to maximize the outcome.

Our Nampa location offers adult day services which provide socialization, structured activities, outings and entertainment for adults living at home who are aged, blind, or otherwise disabled as well as individuals dealing with developmental disabilities. Caregivers receive valuable respite, and peace of mind knowing that their loved one is with caring nurturing staff. Services are offered daily, Monday through Friday to individuals who qualify.
The State of Idaho provides medical assistance (Medicaid) to certain disabled children regardless of parental income.
The purpose of home care for certain disabled children is to help these children get medical services and live at home rather than in an institution. Medicaid pays for many medical services, including physicians visits, hospitalizations, prescriptions, developmental therapy programs, occupational therapy programs, physical and speech therapy, medical supplies and equipment, personal care services and many other programs typically paid for by insurance.
The application process is through the Department of Health and Welfare. Staff at our office would be happy to assist with the process to apply, free of charge
